Phillips Pilates offers a range of in-residence exercise classes. Each class is individually designed. I come to your chalet ten minutes before class, we have a chat about your requirements and then we get to work.

For Pilates, Stretching, and Postpartum Recovery you need to wear form fitting sports clothing so I can see your movements and adjust you accordingly. Face and neck exercises and guided meditation you can wear relaxed clothing.

Pilates Matwork

A great combination of exercises done in standing, sitting and lying down positions to work the whole body, improve core strength, build flexibility, and improve breathing techniques. 

Stretching

Stretching is beneficial any time, but can be particularly useful before or after skiing. Using a combination of stretches in standing, sitting and lying down positions you will feel a lot looser after your session.

Face and Neck Exercises

Face exercise classes help lift and tone the face and neck, improve blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, and relax tight shoulders. I’m a qualified Indian Head massage therapist (2005) and incorporate some of these techniques into the one-hour session.

Guided Meditation and Breathwork

Guided meditation sessions help calm busy brains and enable bodies to unwind. Starting with some breathwork to release tension, you relax lying on a comfortable mat, then I guide you to a calm, relaxing state, with soft background music playing.

Postpartum Recovery

Pilates incorporates lots of exercises which can help new Mums recover their pelvic floor strength, regain mid and lower back mobility and strengthen abs.
